April 1 thru 9, 2014

4-1-14 She spent her entire $21 allowance she has been saving on a new Barbie doll yesterday. She has a playdate with her friend, Maranda on Wed and wanted to buy her flowers. I told her if she spent her entire allowance, she wouldn’t have enough to buy Maranda flowers for Wed. She said that was okay, she wanted the Barbie. Sooooo….today, she asks I would give her money to buy Maranda flowers. I want to, but told her, “no, she shouldn’t have spent all her allowance.” She proceeds to tell me that she already told Maranda she would give her a present tomorrow. I told her to pick something out to give to her, like jewelry. She decided on a Hello Kitty necklace and bracelet.

4-2-14 She had a playdate with Maranda from 1030am (after school) until 5pm. They did great until about 445pm. They both wanted the pink blanket in the car, so I had to take it away…both getting tired. Overall, they hugged each other at the end of the day. She must really like Maranda because she was able to share everything willingly. She did draw a sad face with a tear at the end of the day because she said she didn’t get to do anything she wanted; Maranda got to.

4-3-14 In the car on the way home from school, she says, “I don’t want to go to school ever again. I want to take it easy like you do; you get to stay home and do your stuff.” Had lunch with Dianna and Kate.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound 4-3-14

Daddy brought home an ultrasound machine from work for her to play with.

4-4-14 She said she never wants kids because she’s afraid it will hurt when they crack open her stomach.

4-5-14 We went to look at her Aunt Cindy’s new house that they are in the process of buying near Uncle Dan’s work.

4-7-14 Spring Break this week! By 11:30am, mommy was ready for it to be OVER! She is whiny, demanding and pissed off that I bought her friend, Riley a princess beauty kit for Riley’s birthday this week and didn’t buy her one and she won’t shut up about it! We met her new piano instructor, Helena, today. Helena is a junior in high school and was recommended by another piano teacher. She charges half the price as a regular instructor, so this was a deciding factor in choosing her. She finished her Victorian House drawing that she has been working on since last Wednesday.

4-8-14 Dad’s viral videos by Tony Serafini She watched these videos and laughed so hard she peed her pants. Glad I had a blanket on the couch so I just had to watch the blanket.

4-9-14 It’s 9am and still in pajamas due to Spring Break. She says, “I want to spend every day in my pajamas”…me too kid!

Caricatures

Caricatures 4-9-14

On the way to the city, I asked her what she thought of me going back to work and her going to daycare for a couple hours after school. She says: “No, I like being close to you all the time”. Me: “I need to start earning my own money again.” Her: “I’ll give you money. When I get my allowance, I will give it back to you.” Spent 4 hours playing in bouncy houses and had our caricatures drawn. She wanted a $3 balloon made into a flower. After I got her one, she decided she didn’t want it anymore, so she found a little girl to give it to. I think she made a little girl very happy.

She put me on a guilt trip when I got home from Zumba at 8:40pm. She asks: “Why do you go somewhere every night?!? I want to spend time with you! I’m sad.” Me: “We just spent all day together and I like to exercise to stay healthy.” Her: “You spend more time with your computer than me!” Double guilt…for going to the gym or yoga every day and for being on my computer all the time when we’re home (did I just admit that)! Going to have to limit my time on the computer and start interacting more with my kid!
